56-year-old Zhang Nan from Hubei province, China, used exfoliating eels to remove dead skin from his body, but one managed to slither through his penis and into his kidney. He required three hours of surgery to fix the damage.

He explained: “I climbed into the bath and I could feel the eels nibbling my body. But then suddenly I felt a severe pain and realized a small eel had gone into the end of my penis.”

The Huffington Post quoted Jin Wang, who performed the surgery: “The diameter of the urethra in a man’s penis is just a little narrower, but because eels are quite slippery, its body worked as a lubricant and so it got into the penis smoothly.”

Zhang Nan did not say if his skin felt any softer.
